Getting 17882 and 10055 errors
Hi all,
I'm getting 17882 and 10055 errors on one of my SQL 2000 EE Instances.
Using version 8.00.818. I've found a couple of Knowledge Base articles
(890200, 891311) about these errors.
How do I obtain the hotfixes for 8.00.990 and 8.00.997?
I'm uneasy about installing Service Pack 4 because of the problems I've read
about.
Thanks for your help.I am also having the same issue were you able to find the hotfix reference i

GetReportChunk(*,1) - Chunk was not found
Hi,
I'm seeing a lot of errors in my logfiles that state:
"INFO: ### GetReportChunk('C_4_S', 1), chunk was not found!
this=787c692c-161e-4696-89a0-ff884060abef"
I have a couple questions about these statements:
1. What do they mean
2. If a chunk isn't found does it mean that the report will not display
properly to the enduser
I also have log statements that state:
"INFO: ### GetReportChunk('RenderingInfo_EXCEL', 2), chunk was not
found! this=34c1c598-ffc4-4777-a478-f26ab9f8d9e6"
I wouldn't have been looking for the errors except that a couple of my
reports won't export properly to ANY format other than HTML4.0. I've just
started down the path of troubleshooting it and this is the first bit of
information I've run into that looks promising.
Also, from within VS.NET I'm able to export a report to Excel (PDF, XML,
etc.), but I'm not able to export the same report once it's been published
to RS.
Any thoughts, etc?
Thanks!
- JoelThese are not errors (which is why they are marked info) Lots of people
have been confused by this and we plan on changing this behavior in our next
release. Do you get an error when you try to export?

Thanks for the response.
Yes, I'm getting an error when I try to export a report when it has been
created with a specific set of parameters. It's funny, it works fine on our
Development box running RS Dev Edition, works fine when trying to export it
from within VS.NET, but fails when exporting on the production box that is
running Standard Edition. I did some testing with the report and it seems
that if I remove the legend from the chart, the export works just fine. I'm
perplexed by this and have posted another question to the newsgroup to ask
for information.
Thanks for any and all help!!

Did you ever figure this one out? I am having a similar problem...I
found that is if I disable SSL in the RSReportServer.config file, I can
export with no problems...but if I have SSL on at any level (1,2, or 3)
I cannot export from within Report Manager. I get a file not found
error.

Get table warnings?
Recently I added a varchar(8000) to a table through enterprise manager.
Everything went fine, no errors/warnings reported.
Thought I should script the change, got a warning through query analyzer
that row exceeded 8060. That I understand just fine.
Being no expert, I'm wondering how I can check my tables for warnings. DBCC
checktable reports nothing wrong on the table with row length > 8060.
I know I can manually check other tables for the row length, but I'm
concerned about other warnings I may have introduced.
Thanks,
MikeThough SQL Server lets you create a table with row size > 8060, you are
still limited by the size 8060. So, your table is just like any other table,
and SQL Server will not let you have a data row that exceeds that limit.
The DBCC commands you are talking about are mostly for checking database
consistency.

Recently I added a varchar(8000) to a table through enterprise manager.
Everything went fine, no errors/warnings reported.
